The objective of the annual evaluation process is to assess performance of the full-time faculty members and instructors in terms of their contributions and achievements in research and scholarly work, teaching, and service both to the University and society at large. An equally important objective of the process is to provide advice/guidance for to the faculty members for their long-term professional development. Note that the performance evaluation covers the most recent two annual evaluation periods in order to better reflect upon the research outputs of faculty members and instructors.
Evaluations of part-time instructors and lecturers are conducted upon completion of their teaching assignment by their Deans/Directors. A favorable evaluation is necessary for continuation of employment but is not sufficient to determine whether a rehire should be done. Such individuals may be re-hired upon recommendation of the Dean or Director, based on the teaching needs in the relevant Department(s), and upon the approval of the President.
