II.8. Academic Staff Assignment

1. Academic personnel of a state university may be appointed to work at Koç University on a temporary basis in compliance with the relevant articles of Law of Higher Education number 2547 and Higher Education Executive Council decision number 98.35.2543 dated September 15th, 1998. In this case, the Social Security Institution (SGK) insurance shall not be made, and the additional course fees to be paid to the assigned instructors shall be paid without a deduction of the insurance premium and only with a deduction of stamp duty.

2. For the academic staff of a private university who are assigned to Koç University, the SGK insurance shall be made by Koç University.

3. An academic staff member who is part of Koç University may teach in a state or private university through a temporary assignment. To this end, a written statement shall be prepared with the approval of the President.
